Suspension

The suspension system — the network of springs within the frame — forms the balance of support and softness that shapes how it feels over time. At Grey & Sanders, our handcrafted sofas and couches are crafted with two key suspension systems, webbing and zig-zag springs. 

Webbing refers to straps woven from jute, nylon, polypropylene or pirelli, stretched across the sofa to form a flexible base that moves with you. It offers a gentle, sink-in comfort.

Zig-Zag spring on the other hand, refers to heavy-gauge metal wires in zigzag patterns, attached across the sofa, to provide steady and lasting support. Firm with even distribution of weight, they hold their shape beautifully, perfect for those who prefer structure beneath softness. 

Filling Insert

A sofa’s filling insert is the heart of the sofa -— shaping its comfort, support, and silhouette. The right sofa should match your comfort preference. For some designs, we blend materials for a balanced feel of both comfort and structure.

At Grey & Sanders, our warranty reflects the confidence we have in our craftsmanship. It covers the essential components of your sofa — from its frame and recliner mechanism to the filling, stitching, zips, and upholstery.

• Limited warranty is applicable for 10 years for defects in the frame structure 
• Limited warranty is applicable for 2 years for defects in recliner mechanism and other components (such as foam, fibre fillings, feathers, stitching and zips)
• Limited warranty is applicable for 1 year for defects in upholstery

Easy-clean fabric options from this fabric collection are crafted with textile technologies to deliver an ultra-soft, Nubuck-like feel while its inner properties make stains easy to clean.  

Over time, this protective layer may naturally diminish, but it's simple to refresh. Reapply a fabric protector such as 3M’s Scotchgard Fabric Protector or Fabric Water Shield or choose gentle, non-toxic alternatives like protectME Premium Fabric Protector and Nanoman Fabric Protective.
