GENERAL WARRANTY TERMS

Coverage

This warranty covers manufacturing defects only.

The warranty period begins from the date of delivery and applies only to the original purchaser who purchased the product from Grey & Sanders. The warranty is non-transferable.

A manufacturing defect refers to a flaw in materials or workmanship that results in structural failure or functional impairment under normal residential use.

To qualify for warranty coverage:

  • The product must be installed, used, and maintained in accordance with the provided care and usage instructions.
  • The product must not have been subjected to misuse, abuse, negligence, accidental damage, improper installation, environmental damage, or unauthorized repair.
  • No modifications or alterations must have been made to the product.

Remedy

At our discretion, Grey & Sanders will repair, replace, or provide a partial refund for approved warranty claims.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Sale or clearance items (unless otherwise stated in writing)
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic changes due to aging or regular use
  • Damage caused by improper care, cleaning agents, or environmental exposure

PRODUCT SPECIFIC WARRANTY TERMS

Wood Slabs

Warranty Period

3 years

Coverage

Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for all products incorporating wood slabs, including Odette and Ralph collections.

Exceptions

Wood is a natural material and may undergo changes over time, including:

  • Variations in wood grain
  • Natural color changes
  • Minor movement due to environmental conditions

Protective coatings may be worn with regular use. These changes are natural characteristics and normal wear and tear, and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Sofas

Warranty Period

  • Frame structure: 10 years 
  • Recliner mechanism and internal components (springs, foam, fibre fillings, stitching, zips): 2 years 
  • Upholstery (leather or fabric): 1 year

Coverage

Covers manufacturing defects in structural frame, mechanical components, internal materials, and upholstery under normal residential use.

Exceptions

Leather:
Natural marks, scars, wrinkles, tick bites, shade variations, and surface finish changes are inherent characteristics of genuine leather and are not defects.

Fabric:
Pilling, stretching, wrinkling, color variation, and natural textural changes due to usage are not considered manufacturing defects.

Foam and Cushions:
Softening and compression over time are normal results of use and are not covered.

Case Goods, Chairs, Table Bases and Bedframes

(Case goods include TV consoles, sideboards and cabinets)

Warranty Period

1 year

Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

Exceptions

Surface wear and tear resulting from regular use, including minor scratches, dents, fading, and cosmetic deterioration, are not considered manufacturing defects.

Adjustable Legs

Warranty Period

3 years

Details of Coverage

Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Exceptions

Damage caused by overloading, improper installation, modification, or misuse is not covered.

Mattresses

Warranty Period

10 years

Details of Coverage

Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

Exceptions

Softening, body impressions within acceptable industry tolerance, and comfort preference changes are not considered manufacturing defects. Stains, misuse, improper foundation support, or unsanitary conditions will void the warranty.

Extendable Tables

Warranty Period

1 year

Details of Coverage

Covers manufacturing defects in materials and extension mechanisms under normal residential use.

Exceptions

Due to the nature of the extension mechanism, a slight gap or height variance of approximately 1mm to 3mm between wooden panels may occur. This is a normal functional characteristic and is not considered a defect.

Surface wear and tear from regular use is not covered.
