COLOUR: Craving & Classico Palette
For 2 decades, Pantone’s Colour of the Year influenced many product developments in many different industries such as home decor, fashion, industrial design, graphic design etc. Every year, they will comb through the world to search for new colour influences and came up with a few palettes.
This year, they concluded that the colour is… Living Coral!
Vibrant, yet mellow Living Coral focuses on warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment. As our daily lives are constantly bombarded with digital technology and social media, we often seek authentic and immersive connection with our environment. Thus, Pantone 2019 Palette Craving, encourages lighthearted activity and symbolizes our instinctive need for optimism.

The Pantone 2019 Classico palette encompasses a more enduring style. Just as the name implies, the colours of Classico are rudimentary, basic and timeless, while at the same time being sophisticated and fashionable. This palette is a perfect combination of white, camel tan, deep teal, chic gray, burgundy red and pitch black. The finishing touch of rich gold and apricot brandy complements the whole palette by brightening the mood.

STYLE: Natural Elements
Moving away from the tech-obsessed décor we saw in 2018, 2019 sees a trend towards the use of natural elements such as stone, granite, wood, greens, brass and copper. These elements help to bring an organic and tranquil ambiance to your home, creating the perfect space for your family. The main highlights that we will be sharing are Brass, Wood and Greens.
Brass
This year we say goodbye to stainless steel and polished nickel, and welcome brass accents to your home! Brass offers a cool contrast to modern concrete style and adds warmth to the minimalistic design. Tip: Brass goes very well with dark colours like Navy, Turquoise!

Wood
For a clean, modern and minimalistic Nordic look, wood furniture pieces are a highly effective addition. Regardless of whether it is a dark-coloured walnut or a light-coloured chestnut (or even combination of both), they all bound to create a space that is aesthetically pleasing. Some of our best seller includes the Mila Open Concept Wardrobe—nothing sparks more joy than a clean, de-cluttered, minimalistic look, don’t you think?

Greens
Scientists have proven that surrounding yourself with greeneries and nature makes you relaxed and happier as it is innate human tendency to seek connection with nature. Thus it is of no surprise that biophilic designs (incorporating greeneries to our concrete environment) is on a rising trend.
Handy tip: big leafy plants are great for spaces like the balcony and living room whereas smaller plants such as the Succulents are wonderful table additions.
If you are worried about not having green fingers, don’t worry! A high-quality artificial plant is the answer. There are a growing number of artificial plants in the market, some almost indistinguishable from their real counterparts, and only require a casual dusting once in a while. We recommend checking out Pollyanna Concepts for their beautiful artificial plants.
